Talking with My Wife
As with most things that I do in life, I always talk things over with my wife. This does not mean I am ‘under the thumb’ (as we say in England!), it simply means that I trust her and value her opinions when it comes to pretty much everything I do – especially when it comes to business. She’s smart, savvy and doesn’t pull any punches, I can tell ‘ya! She’s also my best friend. So, we sat down in my home office earlier on today, and started to go through all the great submissions we had for this special giveaway.

Re the niche site offer; does the WordPress template used incorporate the facility for e-commerce pages to be added later? i.e. listing products/services, collecting payment, dispensing some products online.

WordPress is VERY customizable, and yes, you will be able to customize your niche site it at a later date for shopping carts, etc. Most of the time this can be achieved by plugin’s, etc. Perfect example of how easy it is to add ‘buy now’ buttons, etc., is on this post!

Awesome viral marketing on your part here…just amazing. I’ve been mentioning this on a few other blogs i frequent and it seems people have already heard about what you’re doing here, which just goes to show word is spreading! I know Pat Flynn got a ton of interest/traffic from his Niche Site Duel and I’m sure you’ll do the same or better with this one as well.
I really like the idea of giving away the free niche site. this accomplishes for you:
1. Quite a bit of buzz about what you’re giving away
2. Much more involvement on the site and some buy-in
3. People getting excited about it, creating their own niche sites, and following along
4. Opportunity to pre-sell niche sites to those interested but not willing to try it out themselves
