Location: Home Office – Reading Time: 3-4mins
It’s Sunday evening, my eldest is quietly in bed already, I’m done with dinner and my wife is watching TV. As I normally do on a Sunday evening, I turned on my computer to catch up on reading the handful of blogs that I subscribe to (there are not that many I read religiously, but the ones I do, I really do!). And one thing hit me… The quality of content is getting better and better.
Last week, I sat down and put together FIVE posts, for this blog, and planned around 10 guest posts which will all be out and about in the next few weeks. And from working on these posts, I realized something… I am getting more and more turned-on to blogging. So much so, that I even enrolled myself to Leo and Mary’s A-List Blogging Bootcamps Club to learn more. Cool, community of people, actually!
Now, I class myself as a businessman and entrepreneur first, before anything else. However, as this blog has started to become more popular, and more people have subscribed to the blog, I have been fortunate to meet some great people. I have also been offered many Joint Ventures. I’ve declined almost all of them. Although in regards to two particular bloggers who I subscribe too, and thoroughly enjoy their work, I have decided to work with on two completely separate projects.Although I am not going to completely ‘reveal’ who they are and what exactly we’ll be doing (although their have been hints in past posts, a little!), I can say that one of the projects will be gauged towards Outsourcing and the other towards becoming an Entrepreneurand setting up businesses – both off and online.
Another thing I have decided to do is take my ‘personal’ blog offline, and concentrate on the VBL blog, and these other projects to make sure that the content produced (which will include written, audio and video posts) is top quality and really, really useful.
So, whats next then, Chris..!?
So, as a businessman, I continue to run my business, grow it, expand it and (as most of you will know by now), look to take myself out of the day-to-day operations of it, by becoming a Full-Time Virtual CEO by the end of this year. However, as a blogger I’m going to be doing more – a lot more – to be able to help, inspire, motivate and kick the right people up the ass along that ultimate road of becoming an entrepreneur and creating a lifestyle that you’ll love to live.
I’m thoroughly looking forward to it. Any ideas on what I should be focusing on, regarding those two topics mentioned above? If so, please let me know by commenting below. Thanks!

Just doing some Sunday morning reading here in the U.S. before I start my day. I’m enjoying the the content put out by the blogs I subscribed too as well, definitely better than a newspaper
Looking forward to all the projects you launch my friend.
Hi Tony
Thanks for the comment, as always, bud – value your opinion as you know.
Good to see that there is someone out there that takes a little more ‘regimented’ view at reading his subscribed blogs – I thought I was the only one with that type of OCD!
Have a killer week, bud.
It’s interesting, because the more and more I outsource and automate daily marketing tasks… I can’t bring myself to trust anyone to take over my blogging.
So like you said, I too am automating automating automating, but sticking with blogging as a couldn’t-possibly-outsource task!

Thanks for the comment, and glad to have you here on the VBL blog – hope you become a regular contributor to our growing community.
Yep, I agree, blogging isnt something I feel I can completely outsource, too. Although I have to be honest, I will from time to time ask my PA to research certain things for me, to save time so I can stick to the creating of content rather than the researching part of it.
Hope to see you again soon.
Chris
I couldn’t think of a better person to motivate people in this Chris.
Well done.
Ps, wonder if I’m on your religious reading list
Hi Ben
Thanks for the compliment, mate – much appreciated.
A lot happening, but all good. However, this will be IT for the foreseeable future. I cannot stretch myself too far, and feel I need to focus on these current projects and getting them off the ground, before I move onto the next one!
Are you on the list – of course you bloody are! Lol
Chris
It’s great that you wear the both hats so well because we (subscribers) get the benefit of your business experience. I’m glad you’re determined to keep blogging on your plate.
Hi Tyler
Thanks for reaching out and commenting.
Yep, its something that I have more than enough passion on, and gives me even more chances to be able to test out processes and automation systems, which is also a driving factor, too!
And thank you for subscribing… Highly, highly appreciated!
Best,
Chris
Great stuff man, this is the first time I have been here. I am impressed with the content I have read up on so far. Keep it up and I will most definitely be back more often.
hi Ryan
Glad you enjoyed your first VBL visit…
Don’t worry – plenty of cool stuff coming up. Been planning LOADS of great material over the last couple of weeks…!
Stay tuned!
Chris
Yeah Chris, this topics are that what I’ve expected from you!
It would be interesting which blogs you read and which ones you really like and why.
The topic: becoming an entrepreneur is very interesting. I’m blogging about that in my blog since February, summing up all that good ideas and translate them into german. Here in Germany no one believes in such a lifestyle.
In fact, I would really appreciate to learn more! And I have a lot questions
Hi Florian
I am actually going to do my ‘Top 10 Fave Blogs and Why’ post pretty soon…
Glad youre waving the virtual business lifestyle flag in Germany. One man changing the way a country thinks about work and life. Awesome!
Thanks for commenting, my friend.
Chris
Isn’t it crazy how much blogging and the online community give back in terms of business, value and relationship building? You gotta love that. Even though most of the projects aren’t really for you, just knowing that people read your site, take your knowledge and teachings and put that into practice and want to communicate with you is awesome!
Love it man!
Hey Greg
Couldnt agree more, man…
When are you gonna do another video for the blog? The last one is the most RT’d to date, with almost 70-odd RT’s I think…!
Would see be ‘Gregorfied’ another time!
Chris
Hi Chris,
I came over here after watching your video at Ben’s place so I don’t really feel qualified to suggest what you should be focussing on in regard to your two topics.
However, I did have a thought about how I might be able to take what you have here and apply it to my situation. I enjoyed your video (can’t place your accent though. Where in the UK are you from originally?) and want to come back here but the VA thing isn’t applicable to me. I work for a charity with zero budget so it’s just not an option
I’m going to have a dig around here and see what can be translated to the third sector.
Thanks again for the great video,
Eleanor
Hi Eleanor
First up – you dont need to be ‘qualified’ at all, to comment on the VBL blog – so, thanks for dipping your toe in the water and commenting for the first time (first of many, I hope!).
It’s a pleasure to have another of Ben’s readers over here… He’s got a great blog building up nicely, and a fantastic outlook on everything blogging related!
Dig away, my dear… Good luck with the charity!
Best,
Chris
PS. I’m originally from London, but haven’t lived full-time in the UK for over a decade!
I think one of the most vital elements that impact the success of entrepreneurs is Mindset. Yet it is an area that, sadly, many are either not aware of the importance of or chose to ignore it. I think studying the mindset of successful entrepreneurs who have really made it – professionally and personally – would be an interesting thing to focus on. Good luck with your new focus and projects
Hi Ali
Nice to see you here!
Mindset is absolutely 100% as solid of an ingredient, for entrepreneurial success, as you can get – you’re spot-on correct!
You’ve given me some ideas with this comment. I’m looking forward to seeing what I can rustle up, as they say!
Thanks for popping on the VBL blog – hope to see you commenting again in the future.
Cheers,
Chris
Chris,
I just stumbled upon your blog by accident and I am sure glad that I did.
I know that I need to promote my own blog more by guest posting and your post today was a nice little kick in the ass.
