Hi Everyone, hope you all had a killer weekend, and enjoyed plenty of family time, as well as perhaps a little ‘work’ time, too!

Today I have a guest post from my main man Dan, at TropicalMBA.com. Dan is the young entrepreneur personified and he is also a fellow Pinoy-based businessman, too - living in the Philippines full-time utilizing the power of virtual staff and outsourcing as much as he can to grow and expand his businesses, which all do very well.

I asked Dan to come up with a couple of ‘automation’ tips, to which he grabbed the guitar to! Awesome. Actually, his tips are very simple, but also so, so effective. What I love about this video more than anything else is that Dan looks totally relaxed throughout the entirety of it. This is exactly what a young entrepreneur should look like when talking about his business, its growth and overall success!Get stuck into this post, enjoy and as I have asked Dan to come up with the official blues ‘Virtual Business Lifestyle’ theme song, give him some ideas for lyrics, too!!! I might even end up singing them myself, you never know…! ;-)

Pinging daily is a good idea.

I worked with a sub for over a year where it was really difficult to interact. He was 8 hours ahead of me.

Since we were licensing his code, all we could really do is cross fingers, hold breath, and hope he delivered what he was asked.

To his credit, he mostly did, and it was pretty good code too.

In the future I’ll have to insist on more interaction. I need it because my clients need it from me.

    • Hi Dave!

Interaction, particularly when youre working at an arms length away from each other, is key to long-term, successful operations – when it comes to outsourcing.

It simply is NOT a magic pill that you can pop and it runs itself. The fact is that it can be HUGE for anyone that gets involved in it. You simply have to get involved.

To quote the great Kung Fu Legend, Bruce Lee – “Knowing is not enough, we must apply…”. Very, very true.

      Thanks for the comment, bud.

      Chris

That’s awesome, man, really awesome !

Right now, I’m doing everything myself; I have never thought about outsourcing before. As soon as my traffic breaks the northern stratosphere, I’m going to consider it.

    NIce guitar !

    • Mars – Thanks for the comment and for reaching out.

The thing about ‘outsourcing’ is that it can be as complex or as simple as you want/need it to be. A lot of people think that its tough to get going, etc. This couldnt be further from the truth, believe me!

Let us know if you end up venturing into the realms of outsourcing for yourself, for the first time. I’d be interested to hear how you do with it.

      Best, Chris.
