Meet James Richmond – Britain’s Answer to Gary Vaynerchuk!
Location: Home Office – Reading / Viewing Time: 12mins
A real treat for everyone today… I stumbled across James Richmond’s site, www.theinfopreneur.net a few weeks ago, and really loved his easy-going, yet highly intelligent way of conversing with his readership, which is only 4 months old, but growing by the day like you wouldn’t believe! Since then I have watched a few of his videos and read a handful of his posts. I have also read on a couple of occasions that he is being labeled is the British Gary Vaynerchuck, which is a great compliment in the online world, as you could probably understand for the obvious reasons. So, I emailed him and asked for a quick interview, which he was happy to grant!
It’s a two part video post, the first of which is above, and the second of which is below.
The one thing that I think is extremely important to grasp is, right at the end of the second clip, below, James goes into how important it is, as a blogger, to treat your readers with respect and to genuinely converse with and get to know them. Not just ‘answer’ or ‘reply’ to them, but honestly get into conversation and enjoy getting to know them. Gary himself is known for this, although recently he’ll be the first to admit that he hasn’t exactly been ‘up to date’ with stuff because of the book tour he was doing – although I believe he is catching up!
Great points mentioned by James, and I love the fist pump into the air on the ‘Fellow Brit’ question!
Following this interview, James asked me to shoot a guest post for his blog focusing on tips for aspiring, young entrepreneurs and I will gladly do this for him in the next week or so. In closing I would like to thank James for taking the time to shoot this interview and also for the kind words at the beginning of the first clip in regards to the Virtual Business Lifestyle site being a cool resource for entrepreneurs and people wanting to build businesses online and offline.
If you liked this post, please do leave a comment below – I love hearing from you guys… You can also “Be Sweet and Retweet!” if you like, too. Thanks, everyone!

By the end of 2010, I want to be a Full-Time Virtual CEO. Take the journey with me, month-by-month to find out how I'm going to do it! I’m a 19-year sales, marketing and PR professional originally from the UK and an entrepreneur at heart. I’m also the CEO of the Live2Sell Group of Companies, a thriving total business outsourcing provider based in Cebu City, Philippines.
Brother thanks for the massive honour of this post and interview.
I’m just me doing my own thing and willing to help anyone I can, thanks again.
I’ll stick around to help anyone who needs it
And likewise, thank you, James, for taking the time.
Looking forward to shooting that post for you, too! I’ll be in touch, bud.
Great videos as always James is very inspiring! Ps Chris I like how you link to YouTube videos. So much easier to view on iPhone!
Hey Matt – Thanks for dropping by, buddy!
Yep, a lot of people who read/view the blog have iPhones I have discovered… So, as I was about to switch to Viddler for the cool logo reaosn (more than anything else, to be frank!), I decided to stick with good ol’ YouTube instead. Sign up for the channel sub, too – lots of additional, non blog-posted vids coming soon!
I was actually going to do the same, it’s a pain that you can’t do more than ten mins on youtube either but I suppose it’s better for the versatility
Actually, James, I think you can. I see that some of Tim Ferriss’ videos are WELL over 10mins long.
Perhaps a ‘pro’ (payable) account or something…? Let me know what you find out, if and when you do!
Thanks brother good to see you over here!
Please to count James as a really good friend. His drive and passion is second to none. He is a legend in the making and has helped me no end with my own success.
Great feature Chris thank you
ha ha don’t know about the legend bit brother, but certainly a friend for sure!
How wierd would it be to have a guy like me from middle earth on stage? lol As long as I could wear a hoodie
Drive. Passion. Fundamentally, the only TWO words anyone needs to become a success in life. Period.
Hoodie… Now, that’s something I think you should do for the next video, James. Let me know when you shoot it!
Glad to see you guys are mates. The online world is awesome, isnt it.
Thanks for conversing.
Hey brother yeah I’ve got a hoodie on in these vids, to be honest I live in them, always have.
I used to shock the senior ranks in the military they always thought I was going to mug them lol. Never really forgot my background
Lol. That’s great!
Yep – gotta keep hold of our roots. It’s what molds us as individuals…
James is a great guy, and I am looking forward to doing more with him soon!
Thanks for the comment, Ben.
